We’re home for Pesach! Second year and we’re crushing it! We used our menu from last year and were organized about the shopping and cleaning. We didn’t do anything extra and had our kids pitch in. We’re home for Chol HaMoed and having family over for the last days. I didn’t invite any extra company because I wanted to keep everything super simple.

Planning and Cleaning
Three weeks before Pesach we looked at our menu from last year. We kept it similar with a few tweaks. Based on the menu I made a shopping list. Then I went to my Pesach bins, looked at my inventory from last year and crossed out everything we already had.

I then set up a calendar on paper and scheduled in everything we had to do. Car cleaning, shopping, haircuts, kashering the kitchen- it all went on the calendar.
Here’s what it looked like:
What makes Pesach easy for us is that we were not home for the first days so we did not have to cook before Yom Tov. I realize not everyone is so lucky, so our calendar will not work for everyone.

And our super simple menu? While we may update it, here’s what we’re planning:
Thursday YT Night 1:
- Chicken soup with matza balls
- Roast
- Potato kugel (store-bought)
- Roasted carrots
- Cake (store-bought)
Friday YT Day 1:
- Salmon
- Matza pizza
- Salad
- Cake (store-bought)
Friday YT Night 2:
- Meatballs/meatloaf
- Roasted zucchini
- Sweet potatoes
- Cake (store-bought)
Shabbos YT Day 2:
- Chicken/Turkey Roast
- Qunioa
- Broccoli/Potato kugel (store-bought)
- Cake (store-bought)
